Hello, guys. For today, I’m bringing to you a piece written by an acquaintance, Tolulope. This here is a piece that goes out to all those struggling with adverse circumstances and the constant pitfalls of life. Your story might seem very grim, but remember, there are success stories out there that should nourish your soul with hope for a better turn of events in your life. Okay, that’s enough out of me. Here’s what Tolulope has to say. Enjoy.

When a poor, skinny black boy announced that he wanted to be the President of the USA, America laughed at him. He wasn’t rich, wasn’t experienced and wasn’t WHITE. But today, that boy is the President of the USA and ruling the world.

When an old, poor, ugly woman auditioned for the British show, Britain’s Got Talent, the judges laughed at her. She was old, dirty, ugly and shaggy. BUT the 47-year old Susan Boyle amazed the world with her vocals, won the competition and today has sold over 100 million copies of her first album.

When a poor, black Sudanese refugee girl went to Britain and got a job as a toilet cleaner, no one would expect that she would be a globally-known supermodel. Yes, today, Alek Wek is a world-famous supermodel who goes for lunch with the likes of Tyra Banks and Gisele Bundchen.

When her boyfriend dumped her, after telling her that she was too fat and ugly, British singer Adele was probably totally brokenhearted. Today, she channeled all that heartbreak into her music and made herself the highest-earning British singer, with innumerable awards under her belt.

When he was mopping toilet floors, singing and whistling along in a studio where he was working as a cleaner in London, little did the producers knew that they were about to discover a globally recognized star called Tunde Baiyewu of Lighthouse Family. Today his songs are still bagging money in different currencies for him.

When he used to sweep the corridors of Ghetto Radio and serve tea to the presenters, they all probably laughed at him for being tiny and low-class. BUT today, Mbusii is Kenya’s Best Male Radio Presenter. He started singing in 2000.

He made over ten albums AND still NOBODY cared about him. They probably laughed at his weird, senseless songs. And he almost gave up music. Then, he released Gangnam Style, and today, Psy is a global mega-superstar, earning billions of dollars and lapping up the accolade of having one of the most watched videos in YouTube History.

Keep Praying! Keep Trying!

While the world thinks your time is up, God is saying, ‘Your time is NOW!’ God is never tired or late. You just have to play your part and be steadfast with your faith and efforts.
