Melania Trump had her big moment in the national spotlight at the Republican National Convention. It was supposed to be all about her husband and why he would make a wonderful leader of the free world. Instead, the attention has turned on Melania and the noticeable, shall we say, similarities between her speech and the one Michelle Obama delivered at the Democratic National Convention in 2008. And she would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren’t for the lousy internet!
Twitter, always reliable for great reactions, wasted no time in throwing shade Melania’s way. Here are some of the best reactions, but first, let’s see what all the fuss is about.
Trump’s campaign has been so unorthodox that I think they purposely wrote (Melania claimed to have written it) the speech for Melania to elicit the responses we are seeing. Most major networks are not analysing the speech, everybody is occupied with the similarities…ahem plagiarised paragraph.
It seems to be working for Trump & I wouldn’t be surprised if his style gets him to the oval office come November.
How exactly is this mess working for him? Do tell.
No ‘expert’ gave him a chance to be the Republican nominee. We all know what happened. He seems to know what the average white (especially male) voter wants and is tapping into it. For the records, this group has the biggest voting bloc. I see a similarity between the American upcoming election & the Brexit campaign.
Are you still in doubt whether the mess works?
Notice also Trump’s congratulatory tweet bore a canny similarities to the one Obama wrote in 2008.
I’ve been wondering if that’s for real or photoshopped. lol
Wait o, was that tweet real?
The tweet was real. Go through Trump’s TL
I died ????? ?????
Trump will make america a laughing stock if he wins
