A Game Of Thrones…er, Words

I haven’t written fiction in quite awhile. And aside from the occasional journal updates on this here blog, I haven’t much written anything else. It soon dawned on me that, in the absence of the discipline to pen down episode after episode of Eze Goes To School in time for Mondays, and inundated by a regular dose of life’s daily grind, my creativity took a backseat. Besides, there was really no motivation to write anything.

No motivation that is, until James Becks Robert came calling.

He is a friend who very recently challenged me to a literary duel, one that will last five weeks, which comprises of a written work every week, to be updated, read and voted on by friends and acquaintances. It’s really just for show; he’s a good writer, I’m not so bad myself, and we are taking on the task to entertain our readership under some guidelines.

So, from next week Tuesday, on to the next four Tuesdays, so help me God, I will write my darnedest in order not to be bested in this game of thrones – damn it! – words, the way Prince Oberyn was squished and squashed by The Mountain. 🙂

I like the fact that the stories won’t carry the author’s name so it makes voting objective and less stressful…but for some of us that have “MMSised”(pls check my dictionary for meaning) we can sniff out Walter’s writing from a thousand miles away like a pack of wolves on a hunting spree #justsaying.
