2013 Nigeria Entertainment Awards: And The Winner Is…

2013-Nigeria-Entertainment-Awards-September-2013-BellaNaija-BN-021-600x444On Sunday, 1st September 2013, the 8th annual Nigeria Entertainment Awards took place at the NYU Skirball Center for Performing Arts, New York City, USA.
The show was hosted by comedian Basketmouth. It kicked off with a performance by Mish and the Calabar dancers. Artistes who performed on stage include Iyanya, Emma Nyra, Niyola, Phyno, Ajebutter 22, Dammy Krane and Sean Tizzle.
Taking home some of biggest nods were Rita Dominic for best actress in a film, Olamide’s YBNL for album of the year, Iyanya‘s Kukere for hottest single of the year and Ice Prince for best rap act. Phyno and Olamide closed the show with their hit song “Ghostmode”, which took home the award for best collaboration.
